Technology Application: Using generators as brakes on bicycles to create energy.
50 Word Statement:
When a bicycle applies its brakes, it transforms all of its kinetic energy into heat energy, essentially wasting it. Our group intends to replace the brakes with a generator, turning the kinetic energy into electricity to power your phone or other small devices as you safely come to a stop.
